The ST-knife
Well... Its not the intire site that i have translatet into english - my english in writing is just to bad..
But these knives are made for an american collegue (well, not a knifemaker though) - so i would like to tell a little about the knives.

Knife no. 35 og 36
Blades: Handforged in reused steel from an old farming machine. They are forged to the excact shape and just grindet on the edge.
The handles are hand carved in elm wood. The runes are indicating the ownership:
"Tuts kniu": Todd's knife
"Iakub": Jacob
The holsters are handsewn in special rawhide leather. They are decorated with runeincription - translated into english:
"Sten had knife made for Todd, his friend in Vinland" (Vinland is the viking word for North America - we all know, that America was discovered by the viking Leif Erikson :)
And on the other holster:
"Sten had knife made for Jacob, son of Todd".
To both holsters are attached a small grinding stone in norwegian "skifer" stone.
